Risk Director

We seek an experienced Risk Director to lead our second line of defence, ensuring a robust risk and compliance culture within the company. This role involves comprehensive risk oversight, regulatory compliance, and fostering a robust enterprise risk and compliance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of all financial and non-financial risks, including credit, asset, operational, IT, environmental, and emerging threats.
• Ensure compliance with global and local regulations, implementing risk management and control frameworks.
• Act as the primary point of contact with local regulators, auditors, and other authorities.
• Lead and develop the Risk Management, Compliance, and Control functions.
• Advise and support the local management team on risk-related decisions and strategies.
• Contribute to effective governance and risk reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Manage resource allocation for the Risk & Compliance department and adhere to budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in finance, risk, legal, or a related field within the financial services sector
• At least three years of management experience with high-risk awareness in an international setting.
• Significant knowledge of regulations and understanding of risk categories.
• Robust compliance, risk management, analysis, and control skills.
• Proven ability to make well-informed decisions within the risk appetite and indicators.
• Capacity for leadership and collaboration in a multinational environment.
• English and Norwegian fluently written and spoken.
